About

Undergraduate training: 
Obtained his medical degree from the Medical School in Varna, Bulgaria in 1991 and immigrated to South Africa in 1992.
He passed the entry exams for foreign qualified doctors in 1993 and completed his  internship in Johannesburg in 1994.
General Surgery Fellowship:
Completed his postgraduate general surgical training at the University of Witwatersrand group of hospitals. He qualified as a Fellow of the College of Surgeons of South Africa - FCS (SA) in 1999.
He completed his Master of Medicine in Surgery at the University of Witwatersrand in 2002.
Sub specialties: 
Completed Trauma Fellowship at Johannesburg General Hospital in 2002; worked as a Trauma surgeon in two private level I Trauma centres in Johannesburg.
He earned his Subspecialty Certificate in Vascular Surgery from the Colleges of Medicine in South Africa (CMSA) in 2004.

International experience: 
Der Dritter Orden, Munich, Germany 2006.

Dr. Boytchev specialises in vascular surgery with a special interest in minimally invasive arterial and venous surgery, stroke prevention, venous access for patients with chronic renal failure and the management of diabetic foot.
